Most ACA plans as well as Medicare plans do not offer anything more than emergency/urgent care coverage if you are injured outside the United States. A great solution for that is to look at an International policy. Costs for these are generally affordable, and you can get a plan for 5 days through 3 years! The premium is generally based on the location you are traveling to, and the number of days you’re away.

Short Term Medical
In March 2019, Short-term health insurance options in Colorado began to require certain coverages. As a result, these ST insurance companies discontinued their plans in Colorado, and unfortunately we don’t have any options now. However, keep watching our blog for updates.
